Whistler is a resort located about 125 km north of Vancouver, and is undoubtedly Canada’s main ski tourism complex. It’s estimated that over two million visitors go there each year for alpine skiing and snowboarding. Its slopes have won numerous awards in the past, and it hosted most of the alpine, Nordic, sled, skeleton and bob competitions in the 2010 Winter Olympics. It has 116 pistes, categorised as follows: 18% for beginners, 40% intermediate level, 35% difficult, 7% expert. Big White, British Columbia
Big White Ski Resort, more generally known as Big White, is a ski resort located on the Big White Mountain, the highest peak of the Okanagan Highland. It’s the third-largest resort in British Columbia and the largest night skiing area in western Canada. Big White has a total of 118 pistes, of which 18% are for beginners and 56% for intermediates, with the remaining 26% for expert skiers.
