SKI TIME WITH THE 2022-2023 WORLD CUP

11/11/2022

Skiing is a fascinating and complex sport, much loved and followed throughout the world. Italy, with its mountains and valleys, is full of breathtaking locations that are literally invaded by thousands of ski lovers and tourists each year, from early autumn – weather permitting – until early spring.

Events not to be missed this year are the  2022-2023 World Cup and the 2023 Alpine Ski World Cup, with a total of 41 races to watch.

Still in Italy, the return of Sestriere after three seasons of absence from the circuit is an essential event for your diary. This town in the province of Turin has always been one of the most popular destinations for lovers of the winter sport par excellence, surrounded by enchanting landscapes and with facilities catering to every need. Sestriere will be hosting the women’s Giant Slalom on Saturday 10 December 2022, and the women’s Special Slalom on 11 December 2022.

The event then continues to Kronplatz, in South Tyrol, and Cortina d’Ampezzo, in Veneto, two other leading destinations of the Italian local ski season.

An innovation this year was the opening of the speed skiing season from Zermatt (Switzerland) to Cervinia (Italy): for the first time in the history of the World Cup, the race straddled two countries.

Spectacular competitions not to be missed and to be enjoyed live or in the comfort of your home – always ready to cheer on our best athletes.
