COOL DOWN 2 AND WARM UP 2: THE NEW TECHNICAL UNDERWEAR BY DUCATI

Ducati presents its new technical underwear product lines designed in collaboration with Aquafil, a leader in the sector.

The garments are made with Dryarn® yarn,  an innovative microfibre that guarantees the best possible breathability and keeps the body dry and at the correct temperature in the hottest and coldest climates.

Ducati presents its new technical underwear product lines Cool Down 2 and Warm Up 2. Developed in collaboration with Aquafil, a global leader in the production of synthetic fibres, these product lines are made up of garments designed to be worn under jackets, trousers or helmets to increase the thermal comfort of motorcyclists. The items in the Ducati technical underwear line are created in lightweight fabrics made without seams to eliminate irritation and chafing.

Products in the Cool Down 2 and Warm Up 2 lines are made with Dryarn® yarn, an innovative microfibre developed through the tradition and experience of Aquafil. As well as being the most lightweight fibre in nature, Dryarn® is water-repellent, breathable, bacteriostatic and dermatologically tested. Thanks to its low specific gravity, this microfibre enables the manufacture of extremely lightweight garments while maintaining their thermal insulation capacity. A product made in Dryarn® can weigh 32% less than its equivalent in wool and 34% less than its equivalent in polyester.

Being latest-generation active wear garments, the new Ducati collection stands out in terms of breathability and thermoregulation. The best possible breathability is ensured by the differentiated structure fabric used which absorbs excess moisture, prevents sweat from running and causes it to evaporate and disperse completely, keeping the skin always dry. Thermoregulation is ensured by the structure of Dryarn® microfibre, which creates a breathable barrier while maintaining the correct body microclimate.

The Cool Down 2 line, designed for sports use on the racetrack or road, includes items that stand out for their refreshing, anti-sweat and anti-odour properties. The Cool Down 2 line is made up of garments designed specifically for motorcycling, ideal for enjoying every curve even on the hottest days. Garments in the line include technical t-shirts (long-sleeved, short-sleeved or sleeveless), a balaclava and technical socks.

The technical T-shirts, under the name Drudi Performance, combine stylish design with excellent performance in terms of lightness, elasticity and breathability. They have zones with a new broad-mesh construction to optimise body perspiration and eliminate excess warmth in the areas most prone to sweating.

The new Drudi Performance Cool Down 2 balaclava is ideal for hot climates and the summer months. It has highly breathable micro-net zones that regulate the temperature and enable the wearer to stay dry, also ensuring excellent technical comfort and high breathability.

Breathability and freshness are the strengths of the line’s technical socks. As well as ensuring good thermal comfort and perfect wicking of perspiration even on the hottest days, the selected materials also provide comfort and a good feel on the bike thanks to reinforced areas designed specifically for motorcycling use.

The Warm Up 2 line, designed for sports-touring and on the road, includes garments that are ideal for enjoying every trip, helping motorcyclists to maintain the fun and pleasure of riding even when the temperatures get colder. The collection includes: thermal long-sleeved T-shirt and thermal trousers, balaclava and thermal socks.

The long-sleeved technical T-shirt and thermal trousers, under the Drudi Performance label, are a perfect synthesis of comfort, elasticity and breathability. They have zones with a new broad-mesh construction that optimise body perspiration and eliminate excess warmth in the areas most prone to sweating. The high-quality fibres of these garments ensure thermal insulation from the outside, absorbing moisture and sweat before they come into contact with the skin.

The modern and functional Warm Up 2 balaclava is the perfect travelling companion on cold days. Its optimised design protects the nape of the neck, temples and chin from wind and, combined with the performance of Dryarn® yarn,, restricts heat loss and insulates from the outside.

The technical socks are designed to ensure the best thermal comfort even in the coldest temperatures. The composition of the merino wool foot section ensures warmth and breathability. Their optimised design includes reinforced areas specifically conceived for motorcycling use.
