EXPLOITS IN DRYARN: 7MILAMIGLIALONTANO
From the Oman desert to the Everest, and from Alaska to the Sahara, Dryarn has accompanied professionals and amateurs, athletes and great sportsmen and women, suffered the fatigue of the event with them, and celebrated with them on the steps of the podium.
On 12 June, another exploit in Dryarn will see the liht of day: 7MILAMIGLIALONTANO, a travel experience that also intends to be a new way of seeing the world.
7MILAMIGLIALONTANO is an adventure that is different many ways from the sporting exploits we are used to but still fascinating and exciting. It will involve body , mind and soul. And it is something Dryarn wants to support.
7MILAMIGLIALONTANO is not an adventure per se; it is not a trial of strenght; neither is it an organisational challenge. It offers a single journey, divided into seven different experiences. Each has its own itinerary, partecipants, times and places. but they all have a single intention, asingle purpose: to raise awareness and funds dor 7 humanitarian organisation: ANT Foundation, Emergency, Amici della Zizzi, Casa delle Donne, Coopi, Cesvi and Centro Aiuti per l’Etiopia.
Whereas the theme of the Milan Expo 2015 is to “tackle the problem of feeling the plante, respecting the earth on which we live and from which we draw vital, but exhaustible, resources”, the aim set by the 7MML team is to discover the planet’s eating habits in order to get a global snapshot of humanity before 2015, a year heralded as a watershed in terms of food and energency sustainability.
In practical terms, the 7MML project involves world tour during which a team of 42 communication professionals will take turns with the aim of documenting the situation of humanity today, through writing, photography and cinema, using food and eating habits as the key to their research, in the light of the atavistic saying “we are what we eat”
