SLAM CHOOSES DRYARN FOR OFFICIAL SAILING GEAR ON BMW ORACLE. STEERING TOWARDS THE AMERICAN CUP

With Slam Italy is flying sails unfurled towards the American Cup. After reaching the top in the 5 circle regattas as suppliers of the Italian national sailing team for many Olympic editions, SLAM – Carla Gardino, SLAM’s Chairwoman, prodly announced at the press conference in Malcesine on 8 July – is to be the official supplier for BMW ORACLE in the next America Cup. A very important acknowledgement for the Genoese company which thus becomes the teams official supplier after months of research and engineering of technical clothing of even higher performance in order to be prepared for this great appointment with the most competitive crews at world level. The new American Cup formula, based on racing catamarans, calls for new clothing solutions and Slam has already chosen Dryarn as a safe and reliable partner in producing the athletes’sportswear. The Area 51 jerseys and shorts worn by the BMW Oracle team during the regattas and training are to be in Dryarn. Numerous tests have been made in the laboratory and on the high seas with the help of the famous skipper Russel Coutts, and Dryarn – the lightest microfibre in the world – has reconfirmed its innovative formula: resistance to wear and tear despite frequent washing, light and fine, it guarantees the greatest freedom of movement.
