PP THE NEXT 50 YEARS

Although polypropylene resin was produced for the first time by Professor Giulio Natta in 1954, commercial production of the material by Montecatini concern (now trading as Meraklon SpA) in Italy first began in 1957. This article, therefore, marks the 50th anniversary of the fibre’s arrival on the market.
