Cookie policy

What is a cookie and what is its purpose?

A cookie is a small text file that the websites You visit send from a server web (in other words from the computer upon which the visited website is running) to Your browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, ecc.) and that is saved then on Your computer or mobile device to be re-sent to the same websites at the next visit.
Some cookies allow the websites to function efficiently and improve their services (certain operations could not be carried out without the use of certain cookies), others provide information to the site owner for statistical or advertising purposes, others in order to personalize Your navigation experience by remembering Your preferences (for example remembering the language You set, in order to recognize You at the next visit, etc.).
According to the Italian law, Your express consent is not always needed for the use of cookies. In particular, Your express consent is not required for the so-called “technical cookies”, in other words cookies used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by You. These are cookies strictly necessary for the function of the website or to provide the services You asked for.

Which cookies do we use and for what purposes?

Our website only uses cookies to grant and make easier Your visit to it, and to collect information about Your visits in an anonymous and aggregate form. We do not use profiling cookies. Our website does not allowed the set up of third party cookies (cookies directly set up by websites different from ours), with the only exception of Google Analytics cookies.

Navigation cookies

More precisely, our website uses the followings:

  • DisplayDivasCookiesBanner
This is a persistent technical cookie which elapses after 30 days of its setting (this means that it remains in Your computer or mobile device for a period of 30 days) and that makes a record of Your acceptance of the use of cookies by our website.
  • icl_current_language
This is a session technical cookie (which means that automatically elapses once You close Your browser) and that allows to memorize the language through which You are visiting the website.

Third Party Analytics cookies

Our website uses Google Analytics for statistic purposes only. Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”) which uses cookies that enable to conduct statistic analysis of the visited website in an aggregate form; we represent that, besides these cookies, Google also uses a pixel tag (http://www.google.it/intl/it/policies/privacy/key-terms/).
Data processed by Google Analytics are stored by Google as per the policy You can find at the following link: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/cookie-usage, whereas You can find Google Privacy Policy here: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245.
As clarified by the Italian Data Protection Authority with the press release “Chiarimenti in merito all’attuazione della normativa in materia di cookie” dated June 5th 2015, websites that use, for statistic purposes only, analytics cookies designed and provided by third parties do not have to fulfill the requirements provided by the applicable law (first of all, the notification to the Italian Data Protection Authority) when mechanisms that limit the cookies’ identifying power are adopted (such as the anonymization of the IP addresses) and subject to the existence of agreements with the said third parties in which the latter commits to use the said cookies only for providing the service, to store them separately and not to enrich them or not to cross-check them with other information.
The company Aquafil S.p.A., with registered office in Arco (Trento) ITALY, via Linfano, 9, P.IVA 00123150229, as Data Controller of this website, has opted for the anonymization function of the IP addresses provided by Google (described at the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2763052?hl=it) and has accepted the amendment on the data processing (Google Analytics Data Processing Amendment v20130906: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/3379636?hl=it) provided by Google Analytics in accordance with the Directive 95/46/CE: by accepting the said amendment, Google commits to process data only in accordance with the requests of the client (i.e., of the Data Controller of our website) and not to share them with other additional services if not requested by the client itself by means of the settings of the services. We inform You that the Data Controller of this website did not link Google Analytics to an another additional service, nor any advertising option or sharing data with Google option has been set up.
Although today, pursuant to the clarifications of the Italian Data Protection Authority dated June 5th 2015, Your previous consent is not required for the setting of third party analytics cookies when the above said precautions are adopted, we believe that asking Your previous consent is appropriate by clicking on the proper box in the banner or by continuing the visit of the website.
In any case, at the following link You can find the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on that will provide You the ability to prevent Your data from being used by Google Analytics: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
