Extreme and safe. These two words may seem contradictory but the zip-line, commonly known in Italy as the flight of the angel, is a compromise between doing an extreme sport and being in total safety.

For all lovers of adrenaline sports, the zip-line is something you should try at least once in your life. It involves launching yourself into the void from heights that can reach up to 400 meters. The descent is along a steel cable stretched between two points positioned at different heights, during which you can see amazing views over rocky mountains, green valleys, thick forests and vast canyons.

         1.San Vigilio di Marebbe, Bolzano

         2. Busana, in the province of Reggio Emilia.

         3. Lake Maggiore, Verbania

On the border between Piedmont and Lombardy you can experience the zip-line at a height of 350 metres from the ground while looking at the crystal-clear waters of the lake. For anyone wanting to spice things up a little, the descent can also be made in two different positions: lying down (Falcon style) or sitting down, with the arms and legs free (Tyrolienne).

         4. Lo Zoplin, Rocca Massima, Lazio

This is undoubtedly one of the most extreme zip-lines you can try. This descent across nearly 3 km at a height of over 300 meters can take you to a speed of 170 km/h. Definitely one of the most adrenaline-pumping descents you can do!

         5. San Costantino Albanese, Basilicata

This is the ideal place for anyone who wants to try this extreme experience as a group. Up to 4 people can actually make the descent alongside each other with the use of a horizontal harness.

         6. Lucanian Dolomites, Basilicata

One of the most exciting and scenic zip-line rides you can experience. From a height of 400 meters you can catch breathtaking views at a speed of 120 km/h, alone or as a pair.

         7. Pietrapertosa and Castelmezzano, Potenza
